Based in Guernsey, but originally from Manchester Susie Andrade has a keen interest in learning and development in both the public and private sectors. Susie graduated from Edge Hill University (Ormskirk) with a BA Hons degree in History and continued her studies following a move into L&D by completing the CIPD CTP and 7302 Adult Learning certificate. In 2006 she began an MBA with Liverpool University and has maintained a healthy interest in workforce development, life long learning and opportunities to engender a learning culture as a competitive tool to society.

She seeks nomination to be an associate member on the IfL Council 2009 and in return a committed, driven and passionate about learning representative will contribute to the Council in every way possible.

“I think it’s fair to say I have my finger on the pulse when it comes to learning and development. I am currently Head of Learning & Development of the Bachmann Group (www.bachmanngroup.com) and also sit on the local CIPD Committee and the Life Long Learning Committee for the States of Guernsey. Research for my MBA dissertation explored into the impact of the ageing population, workforce development and economic competitiveness which involved consultation with various local business leaders and government representatives which I have used practically to implement new initiatives that benefit the local workforce. I am committed to supporting a culture of life long learning and would be very grateful for your vote.”
