Member consultation on the Single Equality Strategy
IfL values difference. Through the individual life experiences of our members and those who work for us, IfL is enriched as both a professional body and an employer. In all that we do we endeavour to be inclusive and to provide full and open access to our activities and services for those who join us through membership and those who work for us. We challenge discrimination on any grounds, wherever we encounter it, by striving to avoid internal organisational barriers to our members and our staff and by working with our partners to achieve the same in the wider further education and skills sector.
To ensure that our work on equality and diversity is informed by our membership, you are invited to consider IfL’s draft Single Equality Strategy and provide your comments prior to the strategy being adopted by Council. The strategy can be downloaded as a PDF document (here) and your feedback should be sent to equality@ifl.ac.uk.
The consultation will be formally open until the 31st August 2009, but we will continue to welcome comments received after this point as we continually review and develop equality and diversity across IfL.
