Dedicated to brilliant teaching and training: IfL’s employer recognition scheme
IfL has developed a recognition scheme, dedicated to brilliant teaching and training for employers who want to show support for their teachers and trainers’ membership of IfL. This is part of our essential to our work in promoting and valuing the professional status of members.
The recognition scheme enables employers to demonstrate their commitment to the following values to:
- Develop and sustain teachers’ and trainers’ dual professionalism – so they are experts and up to date in both their subject or vocational area and their teaching and training methods
- Promote the use of new technologies for teaching, training and learning
- Promote the advancement of teaching, training and learning through active support of practitioners’ continuing professional development (CPD)
- Celebrate teachers’ and trainers’ professionalism, and membership of their professional body, the IfL
- Encourage and support teachers and trainers gaining the professional status award of Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or Associate Teacher Learning and Skills (ATLS)
This scheme is now open for 2011-12. If you or your employer would like to find out more about the dedicated to brilliant teaching and training recognition scheme contact communications@ifl.ac.uk or visit the employers' area.
