CPD subject specialism
Using CPD subject resources
These resources are intended to support your professional development in your vocational or subject area. These subject resources broadly cover the Ofsted areas of learning and are selected by teachers and trainers for their relevance. They are from a variety of online sources found across the sector and will regularly be updated.
Since August 2005, learning has been grouped into occupational or subject areas. These are outlined on the Ofsted website
Subject online communities
Discussing, sharing ideas and resources with colleagues can make a real difference to your CPD.
If you would like advice from experts, find out about the latest developments in your subject area and talk to other teachers and trainers about the kind of CPD and resources that make a difference to you, your learners and organisation please go to the online communities. You access the IfL online communities by clicking on the 'Community' link at the top of 'My Pages' when you login to the IfL website.
You can also access and upload videos in the community and add links. The following video includes short clips of teachers and trainers from Thanet College talking about what constitutes CPD - video interviews
