How to apply for QTLS or ATLS
There are three stages to the Professional Formation process that leads to Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or AssociateTeacher Learning and Skills (ATLS) status:Stage 1
Use the members’ area of the website to complete the expression of intent form. This indicates to IfL that you wish to apply for Professional Formation and allows us prepare the appropriate resources to review and moderate your application.
Stage 2
We are currently developing a new process for this stage which will be available to the next round of applicants. Please check this section of the website for updates.
Stage 3
Once received, your completed application will be reviewed and moderated. If successful, you shall achieve Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or Associate Teacher Learning and Skills (ATLS) status and will receive a certificate through the post.

NOTE: Although outside of the process, you must have signed and sent a declaration of suitability to the IfL in order to be able to complete the Professional Formation process. Ideally you should do this as part of stage one (a link is available within this process to assist you).
