Building an online resource for the IfL community

The IfL members group on Slideshare is a place for you to share resources with other members.

As the community grows the group will become an online 'library' of resources and information to support your teaching, training and professional development.

How do share my resources with other IfL members?

To share resources with - and view contributions made by - IfL members, simply create your SlideShare account and join the IfL members group. You can then you upload your resources and share with other IfL members by 'sending' the presentation or document to the group.

A step-by-step guide to sharing your resources through the IfL members' group:

  1. Join the IfL members group here or search for IfL members, select 'Search for people' from the dropdown and click on the InstituteforLearninglink (see image below). Once on the IfL page, click 'Groups' and then 'Add to my groups'.

    Select 'Search for people' and click on the InstituteforLearning link

  2. Upload your presentation or document to SlideShare by following the on-screen instructions
  3. Once uploaded, go to the slideshow by clicking on the icon/link for your presentation/document.
  4. Click on the 'More...' link underneath the title of the document (shown below)

  5. The 'Send to your Group / Event' dialogue box will appear (see below). Select 'IfL members' from the dropdown (this will only appear if you have already joined the IfL members group), add your message and click 'Send'.

You can also link your Slideshare account to Facebook and LinkedIn so that you have access to an even wider range of information sources, enabling you to share and interact with other members in the way that best suits you.
