IfL has just released new guidelines for your continuing professional development (CPD).
The new guidelines reflect member feedback suggesting that you have found our guidelines useful for planning CPD, but want more advice on reflecting on activities and evaluating the impact of your activities.
The new version of the guidelines, as well as outlining the IfL approach to CPD, now offers three models which we hope will be useful as you begin to collate your CPD record for this year and start the thinking for next (09-10):
Model 1 helps plan your CPD needs.
Model 2 is a stimulus for reflecting on what you have already achieved.
Model 3 will give you some ideas on how to go about evaluating the development work you have done.
In early April these models will also be available in interactive form so that you can use them more easily with groups of colleagues when discussing professional development in your organisation.
