Code of Professional Practice

The Code of Professional Practice protects the interest of learners, the wider public and defines the professional behaviour which IfL expects of its members throughout their membership and professional career.

These regulations will be subject to regular review to ensure they remain relevant and always reflect advances in professional practice.

There is now an update to the Code of Professional Practice. Toni Fazaeli, IfL chief executive has written a letter to all employers to inform you of this update. 

Dealing with concerns

This section provides members with the information needed regarding procedures for dealing with concerns raised about the professional practice of members. 

Disciplinary proceedings

This page contains details of recent, current and forthcoming proceedings before the IfL’s Professional Practice and Appeal Committees.  IfL is a body with specific duties under statute and as such is expected to be open and transparent in its proceedings.
