Supporting your staff with Volunteer Connections
IfL Volunteer Connections are staff volunteers who are committed to supporting other IfL members in their professional development. They are able to advise colleagues on effective continuing professional development (CPD) and the use of REfLECT, IfL’s personal learning space for members. IfL Volunteer Connections provide a link between your organisation, staff and IfL.
Boosting effectiveness and efficiency
IfL Volunteer Connections can be of real benefit to your organisation. Having your staff involved can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the CPD of all staff which, in turn, is of real benefit to learners.
Keeping your staff up-to-date
IfL Volunteer Connections disseminate information within your organisation about the latest IfL developments on CPD, Professional Formation and REfLECT, and can also collaborate with your managers and HR department.
Increasing confidence and competence
IfL Volunteer Connections pass on their own learning from regular development training days provided by IfL, to their colleagues. This can help increase confidence across the organisation. This knowledge can include training and support on the use of REfLECT, increasing confidence and competence in using technology.
A cost effective solution to your staff development needs
The support and training the IfL Volunteer Connections give to their colleagues counts as part of their own CPD, as well as the training and development they receive from IfL. Volunteers benefit whilst enabling your organisation to deliver effective staff development activities in house. This makes IfL Volunteer Connections a cost effective solution to your staff support and development needs.
