Governance of Centres for Excellence: a research project

IfL is delighted to be working in partnership with LSIS and the Centres for Excellence in Teacher Training (CETTs) on a project to undertake governance research to support both the individual CETTs and the Association of CETTs (ACETT). Using a combination of networking and communications activity, this project will continue to the end of March 2011.

This page will be updated as the project progresses.

About CETTs

CETTs are partnerships of organisations involved in initial teacher education (ITE) and continuing professional development (CPD) in the learning and skills sector. Their role is to raise the standard of ITE and improve the quality and consistency of CPD.

There are 10 CETTs in England, whose activities include building links and connections between organisations; supporting joint working and new projects to further pedagogic knowledge; mentoring support; research and curriculum development; training and support; and online and hard-copy resources.
