IFL sponsors STAR Award for second year running
Have you nominated your STAR?
The Institute for Learning (IfL) is proud to once again sponsor the award for teaching, training and learning practitioner at the Quality Improvement Agency (QIA) STAR Awards.
Time is running out to make your nominations so, if you work with someone who always goes the extra mile, nows your chance to give them the recognition they deserve.
Last year's winner of the IfL sponsored award for teaching, training and learning practitioner was Amanda Hemmer, a teacher who introduced dance and drama to the Royal National College for the Blind 15 years ago. Presented the award at a gala ceremony last November, Amanda was selected from a shortlist of 10 teachers from all over the UK.
Sue Crowley, Chair of IfL, said: "Amanda's dedication has clearly made an enormous difference to the lives of her students... We applaud her magnificent achievements, and are very pleased that she has been accorded the public recognition she deserves." Its easy to nominate...
Anyone can nominate, including staff and learners and the nomination process is quick and easy. Simply visit staraward.qia.org.uk and submit a short description of no more than 250 words to describe why your nominee should win the award this year.
