IfL Advisory Council
Voting or standing for IfL Council is one of the key ways in which you can influence the work of IfL.
IfL's Council includes an Advisory Council and a non-executive Board of Directors, both of which include a majority of member representatives.
Elections
IfL Advisory Council elections take place every 2 years with the next election to take place in autumn 2011.
The Advisory Council then elects the Board of Directors from within its body.
Meetings
IfL Advisory Council meets three times a year in January, May and October, and aims to distil the voice of members to influence IfL policy and strategy.
The Board of Directors meets nine times a year and gives overall strategic direction to IfL, maintaining business integrity. Sub-committees of the Board will focus on specific requirements, including audit.
