Race Online 2012
IfL is proud to be a partner for Race Online 2012 and is spreading the word across FE and skills to help the UK to be the first nation where everyone can Go ONline and use the web.
Research has shown that some IfL members are not confident using technology (IfL member survey 2009) with some not even having access to email or the internet in their place of work. Even more IfL members support learners across colleges, work based organisations and community providers who may also have limited access to the internet or confidence in online skills.
Over the next year we want to spread the word for Race Online 2012 by sharing resources and information to help you and your learners to become more confident online.
Get involved
Race Online 2012 is aiming to sign up 10,000 Digital Champions and partner organisations to help meet their goal of making the UK one of the first developed countries in the world to achieve near-total internet use by 2012.

By helping your peers to become more confident online, you can contribute to the goals of Race Online 2012 as your colleagues in turn pass it on to their learners. Find out more about being an IfL Volunteer Connection
