This guide is based on research that IfL undertook in early 2010 as part of a project supported by the LSIS Flexibility and Innovation Fund. Reflecting the views of more than 5,000 IfL members, and of other experts and researchers, it distils their collective wisdom about teaching and learning and effective CPD in a guide that is intended to be practical and accessible.Produced by IfL and the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS).
Supporting the Workforce ProjectIfL conducted this research project between December 2009 and March 2010 to support the development of an e-confident workforce and to promote the use of technology in supporting professional development. The project sought to help boost teachers’ and trainers’ skills in using new technologies and REfLECT through research to uncover current usage habits, e-confidence levels and skills gaps. Based on this information the report identifies areas in need of support and the type of support that is needed. Six case studies were also produced to illustrate the findings.
